The temperature in Guangzhou and Shenzhen is in stark contrast to Beijing. People are literally walking topless, well guys at least. The train station is filled with people, you must wonder if any one works as there are so many people travelling!
Even just buying a ticket may sometimes be a several hours adventure, luckily for me trains to shenzhen has their own "terminal" it seems.
