IO Geek Sallad

In the bay area there is typically pretty good vegetarian choices. I
don't say alternatives, as that I'm feeling more sensitive to words
usage and how I perceive their precision when here.

What is this thing we call home?

I'm again in San Francisco, writing on my old iPhone. SF is home. So
is Sydney, Amsterdam, Stockholm, but maybe no longer Berlin. I'm on
the 1 hour bus to work. I'm very excited seeing old friends again. But
also new friends from yesterday. OMB the iPhone spell correction is so
much better than android's. That's good as the keyboard sucks that
much more. But it does free up one hand for the obligatory togo cup.
Of chai I might add. Not St*rb#ck's.

Again I see hints of Chinese Mountains...

But I'll got some coding to do before that.

This is BigBrother speaking...

They just announced in my apartment using the fire alarm.  Made me jump. I mean. In my privacy in my apartment. I don't want somebody to just speaking stuff. No tone indicating that something is comming just a larger voice. It feels like a big corporate institution. And I've come to realize that this is what they are. The Apartment Building Corporations. Its still strange. I mean if they gave me breakfast maybe it'd be ok?

Now back to work. Wfh. Less distractions. Over and out.

MS blue screen

That was a while ago. I killed xp bacause my machine was sluggish. Now its making me wait. Haven't they learned anything from twitter? ;-) we're impatient people instant on. MS: where is my internet? 96% completed. Now checking security descriptors. Wtf. Hehe.

The Reality Dysfunction by Peter F. Hamilton

This guy writes bricks and introduces new characters on every page. It takes time for me to get used to a character and a name, to mentally build them up. Still he has some interesting stories and I kind of ran out of singularitystuff to read. I'm now in the middle. Got overt the first few hundred startpages of the story. Ok. Back to the soap/space opera.

At jaoo - interesting talk about failures

But the slides are essentially white on white. At least we're listening to the speaker... FAIL?
