Got thirsty.
By the way, the addictive vitamin water is now proven by some researchers to contain sugars. Cheers!

Got thirsty.

Travelling from Ottowa to Toronto I was given the courtesy of business class train, for 4 hours. Apart from the drinks, the hot towel, the speedy wifi, both at there station and during the whole train ride made it very enjoyable.,
Flights, in USA, compared to this train ride is like an insult. The way they treat you really makes you consider alternatives. I remember flying being quite OK before you know, the paranoia.
Now, antiago, the barn, apparently.
It was an OK break, but in the end, the experience is like an empty table. Either you've just eaten and is happy, or you're hungry and haven't gotten your food yet.
We may be cyborgs in some variant or another. This author deals with this in his own way. Its bloody, violent and rationalized. Your cortigal stack can be relieved into another body, synthesized.
Now, with newer mobile super phones, mobile web and internet we're closer than ever. Just marrying location with computation when you're on the move is a revolution by itself!
The actual phone functionality is very secondary to me. Google talk fills that place and is more flexible, people can see when its OK talk to me. Can do it from any where in the world. In fact my American phone number gets a spam call per day. I'm inclined unless I know the caller to automatically send then to voice mail, aka noise mail. Within seconds I'll get an email from google voice with a text transcription of what was said. Spammers don't leave messages.
The biggest issue is when travelling. Especially in USA where it seems impossible to get a good deal on prepaid SIM cards with decent internet capacity. I currently have six SIM cards each from a different country. No I'm not a super spy.
So with this constant on, where does it leave our soul? is it just some extra senses we're adding?
With these pictures I leave you in your thoughts.
Tell me what they are and how this all changes you...
Well the food is great! French wine its cheap. They wave their hand when talking French and they know how to use their eyes!
I had some wine now and a good dinner. Feel good. Some nice French speaking people solves all problem. The Canadian immigration is a story for another day...
Cheers!
Spotlight on...
Big brother.
Anyone who has lived out travelled to old commie countries remember how villages have speakers mounted so government can do public announcement.
Now turns out San Francisco recently has installed "emergency system" that includes speakers that can be used to address the population.
China may still be "communist" but USA seems to take strides to control people, intimidate foreigners entering etc.
One doesn't feel very welcome.
Funny enough, immigration has signs that say they'll welcome you cordially to USA and treat you with respect. I sad hi to the immigration person, he didn't as much as look or say hi. He said left hand on finger print scanner, then right. No please. No thanks.
The sign says that if they don't greet you you can give feedback to the guy in charge. however i have a feeling that if you'd actually raise an issue and give feedback, they'd take you to a room, ask to see your papers again and ask you intimidating questions. Essentially you'd stand out which would mark you as hostile thus they'd have to "investigate".
I'm reminded when I first lived in USA and flew to Europe. Passport control in Paris, the guard says in swedish: Välkommen hem till Europa! (welcome home to Europe).
They didn't need a sign to be friendly, they were friendly! But maybe that's why there is a sign here, to compensate for the unfriendlyness.
Over the years I've moved onto a path where I identify my person, who I am, less with what I do.
As of independence day I am now free of direct corporate bindings. I gave notice and quit. Somehow it made sense. I think for every year I worked in USA with maybe only two weeks vacation a year I owe myself a month. At least. Well now is when that is happening. It means I have time and energy to visit long not seen friends all over. Tell me if I you'd like a visit :-)
I recently was at a spiritual gathering. I used my dharma name "The Obedience of the Heart" as my name, I said don't ask me what I do, or where I'm from, ask me what excites me in life and where I'm going. This is how I try to ask others about them.
The funny part was. On the second day a person was present who hadn't been there the day before, in the break she asked me in one sentence if she could ask me what I do and where I'm from! Of course I answered no. Then I said.
If there is anything I do then that is:
"I drink tea!".
When I lived in USA I've been asked if we have the 4th of July in Sweden.
My answer is, no, we go directly from 3rd to the 5th.
Then they get it.
Maybe.
Enjoying some good and healing time near the spiritual rich mountain of Shasta. Its still snow covered, but the area is warm summer. The air is dry and my Amsterdam and San Francisco induced cough is disapating fast.
